El Martillo GRANDE
Big Hammer Theory likes masks, chug-chug style metal, and theatrics. Before making Slipknot comparisons, lets do a proper headcount, shall we? You’ll notice only 4 (one toting a super ballsy, heavy-ass baritone guitar *SICK!!*) and a sound just as big as their mask-wearin’ brethren. Hit up their reverbnation for a little taste.

“Goodbye Beautiful” is a fitting title for such a short little ep. Caroline Bauer’s voice is haunting, and perfectly partnered with just a guitar. By the time you begin to really let go and let the music take you where it wants to go… it’s over. Hopefully more will follow.

The Royal Blue play the kind of folk-pop/americana that couples a cup of coffee just as well as a road trip. For fans of Wilco, Dr. Dog and the like, “The Legionnaire” is a lovely little EP well worth a few spins.
